Willem van Batenburg | The enjoyer's watering can

Willem van Batenburg is regularly described as a pornographic innovator and perseverance against will and thanks. That is certainly a justified characterization because he has always tried to break through the almost indestructible clichés of erotica-pornography, both in text and image.

His work, which has received much acclaim in the form of national and international success, has already been described in his often hilarious film memoir 't all come up again. Four books (obviously) also within the pornorotic genre followed.

In the first part of this booklet, the author allows the reader to access his extensive knowledge of still pressing taboo subjects. (see table of contents) The second part provides the reader with a more or less systematic overview of the Willem van Batenburg Collection. (750 books and 100 special periodicals); donated by the author to the University of Amsterdam; Special Collections Department.
